For Retail Store opening Summer 2013: We will develop wholesale relationships with local fruit, vegetable, meat, value-added producers in order to stock as many local quality products as possible. "Local" is a 60 mile radius of South Bend, IN. We give preference to organic and/or chemical-free growing methods and fair worker practices. Transparency of growing methods is very important. Contact us if you'd like to sell on a wholesale level for 2013. For Wednesday Market (current): Consumer Members order products from our producers on the Purple Porch Co-op web site during a shopping "window" over the weekend. Members then pick up and pay for their orders on Wednesday (5:00pm - 7:00 pm) of that week at our distribution center. Producers are paid within 10 days - less 5% and $3 which goes to the Co-op.
